Meet Dr. Mary Cooke, DDS, MS
Dr. Mary Cooke is a UCLA- and UCSF-trained orthodontist who has cared for Napa Valley families since 2005. Over the last 21+ years, she's created more than 9,000 smiles for kids, teens, and adults.

Training
Dr. Cooke earned her DDS at UCLA, where she was student body president. She went on to UCSF for her orthodontic residency, where she served as chief resident and earned an MS in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences. She has since returned to UCSF as a guest lecturer.
Leadership
Dr. Cooke spent eight years on the board of the California Association of Orthodontists (CAO) and served as its president in 2018–2019. She spent another eight years on the board of the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO) and served as its president in 2023–2024. In 2024, the CAO gave her its Distinguished Service Award. She's also a past president of the UCSF Orthodontic Alumni Association and a past council member of the American Association of Orthodontists.
Her colleagues trusted her to lead. Her patients get that same judgment at every visit, because Dr. Cooke sees every patient personally.
Community
For 21 years, Dr. Cooke has been one of Napa's most dedicated supporters of youth sports. She sponsors boys' and girls' teams across nearly every sport in town, so there's a good chance you've seen a Cooke Orthodontics banner at your child's field or gym. She's also a past president of the Napa Force Lacrosse Club and the Wine Country Lacrosse Conference.
Life Outside the Office
She lives in Napa with her husband, Gary, and their two sons. Her stepdaughter, Mika, is an engineer in Philadelphia, and Dr. Cooke will happily tell you all about her.
