How Dental Monitoring Works:
The usual sequence of events:
1. The app will send you a message that it is time to scan on your smart phone.
2. You scan in the evening but keep the same aligners in your mouth.
3. The next morning you get a message:
GO – means move on to the next aligners
NO GO – means stay on this aligner for a few more days

Send us a message in the app anytime and your personal assistant will be able to get back to you Monday through Friday.
The personal assistant works side by side with Dr. Cooke on monitoring your smile development! Your appointments are farther apart, but your treatment is monitored weekly!
You will get to see us in our office and communicate with her via the app!
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I'm going on vacation, what should I do?
A: Send us a message in your app and we will work with you on a plan to keep moving forward with treatment and ENJOY your vacation.
Q: I broke or lost an aligner, what should I do?
A: Sometimes an aligner breaks or is lost. Dr. Cooke recommends:
- Moving on to the next set of aligners ASAP (i.e. if you are wearing set #11 you will move on to #12 upper and lower).Here
- Send us a message in the App ASAP.
- In the message let us know what aligner you moved to.
- We will update your scan date and aligner number on our end
- When you are prompted to scan, go ahead and scan.
- The next morning you get a message:
GO – means move on to the next aligners
NO GO – means stay on this aligner for a few more days
Q: I am waiting for my refinement (next set of aligners), what should I do?
A: Dr. Cooke is designing and creating your new set of aligners.
The aligners take about 4 weeks to evaluate, design, fabricate and mail. Meanwhile, you will have your remaining aligners and your holding aligners.
- Continue to wear your aligners full time until we see you.
- You will NOT be prompted to scan, but you should change your aligners out about every week. A little longer? No worries
- Were you prompted to scan? Please let us know and you can ignore that message until you get your new set.
- Run out of holding aligners? Send us a message in the app so we can help get you a new holding retainer.
Q: What should I do if I forget my password?
A: Open your DM app
- Select ‘forgot password’
- From there you will be sent an email to reset a new password
- Suggested password: iLOVEdrCOOKE! (Just kidding…. we don’t want everyone to know your password)
Q: I got a cool new phone, so I can't scan. What should I do?
A: Lucky you!
- Download the Dental Monitoring App from the app store
- Sign in using your email address
- Scan away!
Q: When I got my cool new phone, I got a new number. Do I have to do anything?
A: Your app will work fine, but Dr. Cooke wants to know your digits!
- Call or text the office
- Let us know your name and the new phone number!
Q: My child has the app on their phone, but I want it on mine too, what do I do?
A: We have you covered!
- First, download the Dental Monitoring app on your phone
- Use the same email and password as your child uses to login to your phone
- You will now both receive alerts when it is time to scan.
Q: My child has two homes, can both parents have the app on their phone?
A: Yes.
- First, download the Dental Monitoring app on each phone from the app store.
- Then have your child or other parent with the main account create a password by selecting ‘forgot password’ in their DM app.
- Use the same email and password to login to each account.
- Both parents will now both receive alerts when it is time to scan
