Dr. Mary Cooke
I knew very early in my education that I wanted to be an orthodontist. It became obvious to me that the one place that I always felt acknowledged and cared for was at my orthodontic office. It was colorful, friendly and happy. I hope to bring that same feeling to my office and my patients.
Being an orthodontist has been such a pleasure for me. I’ve been embraced by the community and in return I have enjoyed giving back to the local schools and organizations. It was through my job that I also met my husband, Gary. Gary has brought a beautiful young lady into my life, my step-daughter, Mika. In January 2010, we were blessed with a son, Wayne.
I grew up just over the hill, in Sonoma, California. My healthcare career began with an after high school job at Sonoma Valley Hospital (go Dragons!). As a courier and ward clerk I was first exposed to caring for patients and working with a great team. After graduating from Sonoma Valley High School, I ventured on to UC Davis where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Minor in English.
I graduated from UCLA’s School of Dentistry and continued on to specialize in Orthodontics at the University of California, San Francisco. While completing my residency, I obtained my masters in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences.
Orthodontics has combined my love for children and adults into a very rewarding and enjoyable life pursuit. Come in and find out for yourself.
